HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY

My Mum died in 2009 at the age of 92.  She was born  in 1918 the last year of the WW1 War.

私の母は2009年に92歳で亡くなりました。彼女は第一次世界大戦の最後の年である1918年に生まれました。

 

She was always active and loved knitting and about 15 years ago she knitted me this hat.  This is from my home town football club colours Scunthorpe United.  By the way I wanted to be a goalkeeper for Scunthorpe United.

彼女は常にアクティブで、編み物が大好きでした。約15年前には私にこの帽子を編んでくれました。これは私の故郷のサッカークラブ、スカンソープ・ユナイテッドのクラブカラーです。ちなみに私はスカンソープ・ユナイテッドのゴールキーパーになりたかったのです。

 

One of the things I remember my mum telling me which I have carried on with is that you always love your parents dearly and never fall out with them or family.  This is an important thing.   

私が母から受け継いだことの一つは、両親や家族をいつも深く愛し、決して喧嘩をしないことです。これは重要なことです。
